All of our projects have taken place in Ghana's Eastern Region.

Ghana is located in West Africa. Ivory Coast is on the west, Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east, and the Gulf of Guinea to the south. The word Ghana means “Warrior King” and was the title accorded to the kings of the medieval Ghana Empire in West Africa. Ghana, lead by Kwame Nkrumah, gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1957, and it was the first sub-Saharan African nation to do so. Ghana is the second largest producer of cocoa in the world and is home to Lake Volta, the largest man-made lake in the world. Although Ghana has made progress in recent years, safe access to clean water continues to be a major problem in both urban and rural areas. The people of Ghana’s Eastern Region are mainly dependent on boreholes and hand-dug wells. There remains a serious need for access to clean water in this region. One Love Worldwide is dedicated to making a difference in Ghana.
